The Star Rover

The Star RoverBy Jack London

With an epilogue detailing the London/Morrell/Sutphen connection.

A classic novel about reincarnation -- the fictionalized story of the out-of-body and past-life experiences of turn-of-the-century California outlaw Ed Morrell. Today the novel would be called a 'docu-drama.' Morrell was the subject of one of the largest manhunts in California history as the result of his involvement in a land dispute with the Southern Pacific Railroad. Sentenced to life imprisonment, he was subjected to years of merciless cruelty and the tortures of a medieval prison system. Through self-hypnosis and astral projection, he survived and was released as the result of a documented series of psychic occurrences.

When Morrell was released from prison in the early 1900s, his story caught the attention of author Jack London. The two men became friends and London hired a young journalism student to follow Morrell on the lecture circuit to take notes which became the basis of this fascinating book.

Author Richard Bach, upon receiving psychic information, told Dick Sutphen of his connection to London and Morrell. Author Ruth Montgomery's spirit guides view Dick as a "walk-in" of Morrell. This story is told in a chapter in Ruth's book, Threshold To Tomorrow (Putnam). Dick views his connection to Morrell as a "parallel life." The Star Rover includes a 23-page epilogue by Sutphen that provides full details of the research and evidence regarding this connection.
